I’m a software development engineer on Ray Ozzie’s CSA Concept Development Team at Microsoft. During the time I’ve spent on this team, I’ve helped define and prototype technologies such as SSE (Simple Sharing Extensions) and Live Clipboard. Prior to that I spent several years working in MSN on the contacts and permissions web service, known internally as ABCH, that is used by sites such as Hotmail, Messenger and Spaces as the foundation for contacts, social networking and user-configurable permissions features.

I will use this blog to point out and discuss technologies that my team is working on as well as some random thoughts about software and technology. In short, this is my “work” blog. My “!Work blog” is at http://matta.spaces.live.com.

Please note that the opinions expressed herein are my own personal opinions and do not necessarily represent my employer’s view.

    Hi ,

I got your details while researching technology blogs – hope you can help!

I work for a company called Zlio.com. The site allows anyone to create and host a customized online store for free from where they can sell 3rd party merchant products and make profits on sales made (or be paid for clicks on items that are for sale).

We are originally a French company, but are now also operating in the US and in the UK. The service is a unique Web 2.0 concept which combines social networking with online shopping.

Anyway, we would love a review in your blog – you should find the subject matter relevant and interesting.

Please take a look – http://www.zlio.com – and let me know what you think.

    Thanks and best wishes,
    Peter Sewell

hi there, I wanted to quickly introduce myself – I found your name in the Seattle Facebook Garage event page, and thought we might have some similar interests. I would love to meet more smart folks thinking about these areas.

quick bio on me: I was most recently Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Mohr Davidow Ventures, a silicon valley venture capital firm with $2B under management, where I worked on the $20MM investment on Hi5.com, a social network with 75 million registered users. Before that worked at Revenue Science, a Bellevue-based online ad co with clients like AOL, Yahoo, ESPN, and others.

I grew up in Seattle (20 years!) and only recently left for san fran. I’m coming back for a visit the week of Feb 25, and thought I’d meet up with some new folks in my old hometown 😉

shoot me a quick e-mail if you’re interested in meeting up!
